The Fatal Golden Apple

This is a story from Greek mythology about the famous female runner, Atalanta. She would only marry a suitor who could outrun her. Hippomenes, who desperately wanted to marry her, asked the goddess Aphrodite for help. Aphrodite gave him 3 golden apples. While racing, Hippomenes threw the apples one by one to distract Atalanta, thus slowing her down.

I changed the setting to ancient Chinese era. Since Chinese women had their feet bound so that they couldn't run, this is actually quite ironic, isn't it? XD 

I drew it with traditional tools (drawing pen, markers, glitters, and color pencils) and touched it up with Photoshop. I didn't draw them running, though. In this picture, Hippomenes is hiding the other 2 apples behind his back.
